As many of you may know, my father retired from the practice in June this year after 30 years of service. Through him I have had a longstanding connection to the surgery and to Karing, performing in some of the Karing Concerts during my childhood.

I went to school in Exeter and then proceeded to do my medical training at Guys' and St Thomas' Hospital. After qualifying in 2002, I did various hospital posts around London and Kent before finishing my GP training in Somerset in 2008. Since then I have been working as a GP in a practice in Street, Somerset. With my father retiring I thought it was a perfect opportunity to return to Devon and the seaside which I love.

Although I have only been at Pembroke House for 3 months, I have loved every minute of it and have been thoroughly impressed by how well run the practice is and what a great service it provides to its patients. The only problem I foresee is living up to reputation created by my father through his kindness and great clinical care!

In my spare time, I have a strong interest in music. Regularly I sing in oratorio's and have performed in some operas in the past. I also enjoy (most of the time!) keeping fit at the gym and I am a fair weather cyclist!

All partners provide contraception, maternity care and domicillary visiting.
